I'm Myrthe, the eye and heart behind Wild Heart Tales. A slightly introverted, travel-obsessed storyteller with a camera in one hand and a coffee in the other.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but my soul loves to wander. I chase golden light, live for honest moments, and believe that beauty often hides in the in-between. The rustle of a dress in the wind, the way laughter echoes across a valley, how two hands instinctively find each other. These are the things I look for.

I don't believe in directing your day. My job is to read the room, move quietly through it, and be in the right place at the right moment.

On the day itself I work intuitively. With photography I'm looking for light, feeling, and the in-between moments nobody posed for. With video I mix documentary footage with camcorder clips for that warm, nostalgic texture that makes a film feel lived-in. With content creation I keep it raw and immediate — the kind of footage that puts you right back in the moment.
I travel often and I adapt quickly. Whether it's a canal-side ceremony in Utrecht or a cliffside elopement in Iceland, I find the beauty in wherever I am.
We start with a relaxed call or coffee. I want to understand what your day means to you, not just the logistics. This is also a chance to see if we are the right fit.
I will guide you through the timeline, the light, and the locations. No rigid shot lists, just enough preparation so that on the day, everything feels effortless.

Travel is woven into my DNA, and I love showing up somewhere new and finding the light, the mood, the magic that makes your images unmistakably yours.
All European destination packages include travel costs: flights, accommodation, and transport. I take care of everything so you can focus entirely on your day.

Videography in the Netherlands is only available combined with one of my photography packages.
Travel within the Netherlands is charged at €0.35 per kilometre. For destination weddings, flight costs and 2 nights accommodation are added on top.
