Some sessions have a loose plan and then just find their own way. This one started at a playground in one of Utrecht's parks and ended with ice cream. Honestly, a perfect afternoon.
A young boy, a little girl, two parents, and a park with a playground. That was all we needed. The kids took over immediately, climbing, running, not remotely interested in standing still, and that was exactly right. The best family photos rarely happen when everyone is looking at the camera.
Utrecht has that kind of ease to it. A city that makes an ordinary afternoon feel like something worth remembering.
