The Rain Didn't Stand a Chance

I arrived the day before and spent some time walking the city. Coffee, wet streets, the kind of quiet that only comes with grey skies. It already felt like the right place for a wedding.

Jenny got ready at home that morning, surrounded by the people she loves most. Slow and warm, the kind of morning where nobody is watching the clock. By the time she was dressed the rain had settled in, and honestly it just added to everything.

The ceremony was held in a beautiful church, spoken in Swedish. When Jenny walked in on her father's arm and Lars turned to see her, the room just held its breath for a moment. Nothing dramatic, nothing performed. Just two people, and everyone who loves them, all in the same place at the same time.

After the ceremony guests lined the steps with flower petals. They climbed into a vintage car and we found a quiet cobblestone street nearby where the rain gave us just enough space. They were completely natural together and that always makes for the best photographs.

The venue was beautiful. When we arrived, it was already clear that a lot of love had gone into every detail. Flowers ran from one end of the dinner table to the other, and a champagne tower was waiting for the guests as they came in.

The dinner was the kind that people actually talk about. Speeches that made the room laugh and cry in equal measure, good food, and the kind of warmth that only comes when everyone in the room genuinely means to be there. At some point a trumpet player stepped in and something shifted. The energy changed, glasses were filled again, and after that nobody wanted to sit down.

Then came the cake, and after that the party. The kind of evening that starts with one dance and ends with everyone still on the floor hours later. A good way to end a good day.
